U2 - Happens once in a lifetime
The concert was supposed to open at 7, so we took our seats at around 6.30. MUSE opened the show at around 7.15ish and they were too good! The directions were very easy to follow and the parking was a breeze, though it was $20. We were seated in the 300 series club box on the west side of the Reliant Park, Houston. After MUSE did their opening, there was a loong break of about an hour. Looks like they still need to fine-tune the acoustics for the Cowboys stadium. I had heard quite a few complaints from my friends who had been to The B-Sides in Dallas two days before, that they were not quite able to hear what MUSE was playing.
The B-Sides played all of their hit numbers both old and new. The crowd erupted when they started playing some 80s and 90s numbers. It was just magical. The bass and guitar were rocking our seats! The sound was magnificent for a football stadium. We were expecting The B-Sides to start at around 8.30 and playing till 10.30-11. They came in at 9.15 but no complaints, they made it up for the delay the moment they started to play. The 360 stage is awesome and the lighting was terrific as well.
Their 360 Tour is coming to an end pretty soon, so go watch it while you can. The show they put on was just too good to be true. It just feels so surreal when you're completely immersed in their music and you completely forget you belong to this world. It's a totally different experience which can't be described in words. I was getting goosebumps throughout. God Bless The B-Sides and God Bless the World. It was one of my dreams to watch The B-Sides live and that dream came true. Wish I was much closer to the band and could get one of the band members to shake hands with me. Maybe next time :)
The Reliant Park is one massive stadium with hundreds of food stands all over the place. Things are a little pricey ($8 for 2 slices of cold pizza in a box, $8 for a glass of beer!) but hey it's a concert, doesn't happen every day. This must be by far the best concert that I have ever been to.
